What to bring
For our Westchester fencing camps, campers should wear athletic shoes, socks, and comfortable workout clothing. Footwear like Crocs or sandals is not permitted. Pack a lunch, snacks, and a water bottle to keep your child energized and ready to participate.

Fencing camp is a unique, fun, and inspiring experience for your child. It teaches them the foundational concepts and athletic requirements for the sport of fencing, and does so in a warm and inviting environment. Fencing camp participants make new friends, learn fun and challenging new concepts, and are exposed to a exciting and unique sport that offers significant opportunities for growth and development.

Our fencing camp activities blend fun games with formal training to both engage and excite participants, and teach them the foundations of the sport. This includes warmup games and team building exercises, footwork and basic fencing drills, coordination and conditioning exercises, and more.

A typical day at fencing camp includes a welcome and warmup session at 9am. This is followed by a series of exercises that are aimed to develop various fencing skills in a fun and engaging manner. This includes coordination, conditioning, footwork, and basic fencing techniques.
Fencing camp participants will have lots of time to socialize with their peers throughout the day, including during training sessions, during breaks, and over lunch at the fencing facility.

Every fencing camp participant should wear athletic shoes, socks, exercise clothing. Please avoid wearing Crocs, sandals, flip flops, or any other non-sport related foot ware. We also recommend sending a water bottle, lunch food, and small snacks for your child to eat during breaks.
Meet our coaching team
Lou
Louis Montorio is our Westchester Head Coach and a highly experienced mentor. Coach Lou has guided students from beginners to Regional Champions and National Medalists. He is the 2018 National Champion, a six-time national silver medalist, and many-times national finalist. His passion for fencing, combined with his coaching expertise and personal achievements, inspires fencers on their journey to success.
Valera
Valera Baranovsky started fencing in 1985 in the former Soviet Union, where he first developed his love of the sport. He later continued his athletic career in the U.S., training and competing in New York City fencing clubs. Coach Valera is driven to help children develop the same passion for fencing that he discovered when he was first introduced to the sport, so that they may achieve any level of success they desire.
