About our kids fencing program
Our kids fencing program is designed specifically with the youngest fencers in mind. We use safe plastic savers that are light and easy to handle, allowing the kids to explore their new sport in ways that are fun and educational. Kids in this fencing program run, jump, and play as they develop their coordination, balance, and strength—all skills that they’ll need as they develop in the sport.

Our coaching philosophy
Our goal at Sheridan Fencing Academy is to help kids discover that anyone can be an athlete. Many people become convinced that sports aren’t for them because the training they’ve been exposed to was either boring or militaristic. The secret to get someone to love sports (or any activity) is to make it fun! At Sheridan Fencing, we understand that the more fun you have, the more you can achieve.
This starts right from the beginning in our kids fencing lessons. We focus on creating an environment where our students are free to do what kids do —have fun!
Great training is FUN training
Everyone has the capacity for success
Talent is a myth—success comes from motivation, dedication, and perseverance
Quality training engages more than just the body; it engages the mind
A love of training is always more important than competitive results
