Our Manhattan camps offer an exciting way for kids ages 7 to 17 to spend the summer, stay active during the long winter months, and during school breaks. School break camps
Keep your kids busy and active during school breaks. We offer mini-fencing camps periodically throughout the year to coincide with breaks in your kids school schedule due to holidays like Veteran’s Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, and more. Our Manhattan beginner fencing camps are designed for kids ages 7 to 17 who are new to the sport. These camps introduce the fundamentals of fencing in a fun and engaging environment. What to bring
Campers at our Manhattan fencing camps should wear athletic shoes, socks, and comfortable exercise clothing. Please avoid footwear like Crocs, sandals, or flip flops. Pack a lunch, snacks, and a water bottle to keep your child fueled and hydrated throughout the day.

Our fencing facilities
Our Manhattan fencing club is located in New York City’s Upper East Side. We have six full-length fencing strips, two-story high ceilings. We provide all the equipment fencing camp attendees need to get started. Street parking as well as parking garages nearby.

Fencing camp is a unique, fun, and inspiring experience for your child. It teaches them the foundational concepts and athletic requirements for the sport of fencing, and does so in a warm and inviting environment. Fencing camp participants make new friends, learn fun and challenging new concepts, and are exposed to a exciting and unique sport that offers significant opportunities for growth and development.

Our fencing camp activities blend fun games with formal training to both engage and excite participants, and teach them the foundations of the sport. This includes warmup games and team building exercises, footwork and basic fencing drills, coordination and conditioning exercises, and more.

A typical day at fencing camp includes a welcome and warmup session at 9am. This is followed by a series of exercises that are aimed to develop various fencing skills in a fun and engaging manner. This includes coordination, conditioning, footwork, and basic fencing techniques.
Fencing camp participants will have lots of time to socialize with their peers throughout the day, including during training sessions, during breaks, and over lunch at the fencing facility.

Every fencing camp participant should wear athletic shoes, socks, exercise clothing. Please avoid wearing Crocs, sandals, flip flops, or any other non-sport related foot ware. We also recommend sending a water bottle, lunch food, and small snacks for your child to eat during breaks.
Meet our coaching team
Jason
Sheridan Fencing Academy founder Jason Sheridan is the first American-born coach in history to train a World Champion in sabre. He has developed many of the top fencers in the US, including the 2018 National Champion, 2016 & 2014 NCAA Champion, 2013 Junior World Champion and silver medalist, and the 2012 Junior Olympic Champion.
Zack
Zack Brown is one of the most well-known coaches and referees in the United States. He has coached Junior World Team members, Vet World Team members, Division I National Champions, and European Cadet Cup winners. As a fencer, Zack represented Team USA on the Senior World Cup circuit and has medaled at multiple Division I events.
